Course Overview
Banking Fundamentals is a 4-week, self-paced course designed to give learners a solid understanding of how the banking industry works — from the products customers use every day to the regulations and operations that keep it all running.
Each week builds on the last, covering everything from account types and transaction processing to compliance, fraud, and customer experience. Whether you're new to banking or looking to sharpen your foundational knowledge, this course breaks it all down in a way that's clear, practical, and relevant to real-world banking situations.
Live instructor sessions are held every Wednesday at 9:00 AM CT to reinforce the week's material and answer any questions — so you're never navigating it alone.
By the end of this course, you'll have the confidence to speak the language of banking, understand how and why things work the way they do, and apply that knowledge in meaningful ways.
What you'll get out of this course
Learners will be able to identify and explain common banking products — including checking, savings, CDs, and basic lending — along with their key features, fees, and access rules.
Learners will understand how deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments are processed, and recognize the difference between posting and settlement across various payment methods.
Learners will be able to explain the purpose of key banking regulations, define concepts like KYC and AML, and understand how compliance protects both the bank and the customer.
Learners will recognize common fraud scenarios, understand how banks respond to disputes, and apply regulatory considerations to real-world situations.
Learners will be able to break down banking disclosures, understand their regulatory purpose, and compare disclosures across different products and situations.
Learners will gain an end-to-end view of how banks operate — from front-office to back-office — and understand how service expectations, workflows, and product knowledge come together to resolve customer issues.

As a Senior Manager, I play a key role in ensuring smooth coordination between candidates, trainers, internal teams, and business requirements. My primary responsibility is to connect with candidates through regular one-on-one interactions to understand their progress, address any challenges they may be facing, and provide the necessary guidance and support to help them succeed.
I closely coordinate with trainers to monitor candidate performance, training effectiveness, and overall development. I also help students build and improve their resumes to better align with industry standards and client expectations. In addition to candidate engagement, I actively collaborate with the Sales team to support business requirements and client needs. I also work closely with the HR team whenever support is required in employee engagement, coordination, or operational activities.
Beyond work, I am passionate about cricket and snooker, and I also enjoy horse riding, which reflects my enthusiasm for focus, discipline, teamwork, and continuous learning.
